August 12, 2019

The 2019 season is going by much too quickly, but there's still plenty of good fishing ahead. However, I go back to my "day job" as college professor August 26, so after then will be limited to weekend trips.

I specialize in bass fishing with artificial lures, but can offer a variety of trips for one or two people.

NOTE: I encourage "catch and release" fishing. There's nothing wrong with keeping an occasional fish to eat, but more than 90% of the fish shown on  this website were released unharmed.

Check out a couple of videos; fishing with Craig and Kris Norris, on July 6 of this year (thanks, Craig), and some aerial views of the lake courtesy of Bill Vining and his drone.

Guided fishing trips on Cooperstown's Otsego Lake

bass fishing on otsego lake, NY

Bass are the most popular game fish in the United States, and  Otsego Lake, NY is one of the best bass fishing lakes in the State. Whether you are a beginner wanting to learn more about one of the fastest growing sports in the country, a bass fishing enthusiast, or you just want to get out on the water, we can offer you a great trip.

I fish from a 2014, Nitro Z7 bass boat. I specialize in largemouth and smallmouth bass fishing with artificial lures. In addition, I offer panfish trips (for perch, bluegills, rock bass) using live bait. This is a great way to introduce kids to fishing, with plenty of action. Please explore my web site and contact me with any questions you may have, or to request a reservation.
